Ecoideas is a leading manufacturer and distributor of natural health products to retailers across Canada. Ecoideas has a unique selection of products in the categories of: Organic health food, raw food, high quality dietary supplements, the purest enviro-friendly cleaning products, and natural body care products.
Ecoideas intends to restructure its business and financial affairs. As such, a Notice of Intention to Make a Proposal (“NOIs”) was filed in respect of the Ecoideas on March 31, 2026 (“NOI Filing”) pursuant to subsection 50.4 (1) of the Bankruptcy and Insolvency Act, R.S.C. 1985, c. B-3, as amended (the “BIA”) and Dodick Landau Inc. was named Proposal Trustee. Pursuant to the provisions of subsection 69 (1) of the BIA a stay of proceedings has been initiated and all proceedings against Ecoideas are stayed as of the date of filing of the NOI.
On May 28, 2026 the Court approved a stalking horse sale and investment solicitation process (“SISP”) with a bid deadline of June 26, 2026. Below is a copy of the Court’s order and SISP (schedule “A” to the order).
On July 7, 2026 the Court approved a sale to the stalking horse bidder by way of a reverse vesting order which vested title in the Purchased Shares in the Purchaser free and clear of all claims and encumbrances, and vesting out of the Company and transferring, vesting and delivering unto ResidualCo all excluded assets, liabilities and contracts. Concurrently, ResidualCo. was rendered bankrupt.
