Tecna Construction Ltd. (“Tecna”) operates a new home residential construction framing business throughout the Greater Toronto Area.
On November 25, 2021, Dodick Landau Inc., in its capacity as Proposal Trustee of Tecna, filed with the Official Receiver a proposal in the name, and on behalf, of Tecna. Pursuant to the provisions of the Bankruptcy and Insolvency Act a stay of proceedings has been initiated and all proceedings against Tecna are stayed as of the date of filing of the proposal. On December 2, 2021 the Proposal Trustee mailed to all known creditors a copy of the Proposal, the Trustee’s Report on the Proposal, a blank proof of claim form with instructions, a form of proxy and a voting letter. These documents are now available for download on this website.
The first Meeting of Creditors to consider and vote on the Proposal was held on December 15, 2021 at 11:00 am. As there was no quorum at the first Meeting of Creditors, the meeting was terminated and a second meeting of creditors was scheduled on February 3, 2022 at 11:00am to vote on the proposal. At the second meeting of creditors the Canada Revenue Agency representative requested an adjournment. The second meeting of creditors was adjourned to February 11, 2022 at which time an amended proposal was approved by the creditors. On March 21, 2022, the Proposal Trustee motioned the Court to request its approval of the amended proposal. The Court approved the amended Proposal
