ONTHEGO Staffing Services Inc. (“ONTHEGO”) provides temporary staffing services to private corporations and public organizations, including part-time workers, short-term hires, on-call workers, contract or full-time positions.
On May 20, 2025, ONTHEGO filed a Notice of Intention to Make a Proposal to its creditors pursuant to subsection 50.4 (1) of the Bankruptcy and Insolvency Act, R.S.C. 1985, c. B-3, as amended (the “BIA”) and Dodick Landau Inc. was named Proposal Trustee. Pursuant to the provisions of subsection 69 (1) of the BIA a stay of proceedings has been initiated and all proceedings against ONTHEGO are stayed as of the date of filing of the NOI. On June 17, 2025, a further extension to the NOI was approved by the Court up to and including August 1, 2025.
OnTheGo filed a proposal (the “Proposal”) to its creditors on September 15, 2025. On September 26, 2025, the Proposal Trustee gave notice to OnTheGo, the division office and to every known Creditor of the calling of a meeting of creditors which was held on October 6, 2025, to consider the Proposal. At the meeting of creditors the required majority of creditors voted in favour of the Proposal. On November 4, 2025, the Court approved the Proposal.
OnTheGo’s Proposal also includes a call for claims from former employees of 2517906 Ontario Inc. o/a TPS, who were employed during the period of January 1, 2019, to November 12, 2019 (“Former Employees”). Former Employees shall be permitted to submit proofs of claim for claims related to any unpaid wages up to the date that is 90 days following the implementation date of the Proposal (“Former Employees Claims Bar Date”). Any Former Employee that does not prove his or her claim for unpaid wages by the Former Employees Claims Bar Date shall be barred from making a Claim in the Proposal or sharing in any distribution hereunder, and such claim shall be forever barred, extinguished and released.
